Fully upgraded in 2005 to incorporate Holland America’s Signature of Excellence features, ms Rotterdam’s 10 passenger decks are now packed with world-class facilities and amenities for the whole family. During the day you can workout in the state-of-the-art fitness centre, learn yoga, take a dip in a choice of two outdoor pools, one with sliding glass roof, pamper yourself at the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, check your email in the Explorations Café, or take in a cooking class from Master Chefs at the Culinary Arts Centre demonstration kitchen, there is a perfect onboard activity for everyone. For kids there’s Club HAL® for 3-12 year olds plus The Loft and Oasis designed exclusively for teens (13 - 17) to hang out with people their own age and a video arcade.

She has three main restaurants including the splendid main La Fontaine Dining room for a formal five-course affair, the intimate reservation-only Pinnacle Grill offering a sophisticated dining experience and the Lido Restaurant offering a relaxed, more casual option plus 24-hour in-room dining. A fourth dining venue – the speciality Canaletto Italian Restaurant is due to open in December 2009. After dinner head for one of the numerous bars and lounges, take in a show at the double-deck Showroom at Sea Show Lounge, try your luck at the casino, take in a movie at the cinema and end the night with a dance at the Crow's Nest nightclub offering sweeping 270° views out to sea.

Dining

On a MS Rotterdam cruise, dining is definitely one of the many highlights. Seating 747 guests, the elegant "La Fontaine Dining Room" is where you can look forward to five-course menus, which include continental cuisine, vegetarian and healthy options. And you can either dine at the set time for dinner - or book a table at a time that’s best for you.

An alternative place to dine is the popular "Pinnacle Grill". With premium Sterling Silver Beef, inspired seafood dishes and specially selected wines, the Pinnacle Grill

offers an elegant, sophisticated dining experience.

Another alternative is the "Canaletto Restaurant", if you love Italian food you must dine here. Both the cuisine and service are exceptional.

For a more casual choice, opt for the "Lido Restaurant". In a relaxed ambiance, this restaurant features a variety of cooked-to-order specialties.

And it’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are tasty kid’s menus here too.

In a cosy, coffee house environment,the "Explorations Café" serves coffee and pastries.

MS Rotterdam also provides cappuccinos, espressos and complimentary ice cream during certain hours of the day. Furthermore, there are hot hors d’oeuvres available in all the bars.

Leisure

There’s something to suit every taste on MS Rotterdam. Swim some lengths in either the indoor or outdoor Swimming Pool. There are also two relaxing Whirlpools. Like your sports? There’s a tennis court and Basketball Court on-board. To get those muscles pumping head to the Fitness Centre or Aerobics Area.

Want to get the most out of email and the Internet skills? Then you must attend the Digital Workshop. "The Queen’s Show Lounge" is the entertainment hotspot. Featuring talented vocalists, dancers, illusionists, comedians and cabaret acts, you’ll have many a fabulous evening here. If you feel like having an evening of dancing, go along to the hip, fashionable nightclub "Crow’s Nest". To simply "chill out", head to the contemporary "Ocean Bar". Alternatively, settle down with some popcorn and watch a recently released movie in the Cinema. Feeling lucky? Then pay the Casino a visit. As there’s a wide variety of bars and lounges, there&rsquos something to suit every taste. Whether it’s a lively or relaxed atmosphere, you’ll find it on MS Rotterdam.

Relaxation

A haven of tranquillity awaits you at the "Greenhouse Spa". Here you can effortlessly relax in the thermal suite… Or treat yourself to a rejuvenating facial or massage.

MS Rotterdam has an on-board Medical Centre staffed by doctors and nurses. The ship’s Medical Centre is well equipped to handle most emergencies and medical procedures.

A wheelchair friendly ship, MS Rotterdam has 20 wheelchair accessible cabins and 12 elevators. Guests using a wheelchair need to have a capable traveling companion.
