There are a selection of Cruise and Maritime Voyages Australia cruises that you can book, including some that circumnavigate the country and others that include Australian ports as part of a larger sailing across multiple continents, with sailings usually either beginning or ending in one of the major port cities of the country.
You can find all of our Cruise and Maritime Voyages Australia cruises here with the latest availability and a guide to the itinerary that each sailing includes.
The primary itinerary that you’ll probably be looking at is the round Australia voyage which gives you a comprehensive tour of the whole country along with a couple of extra island destinations nearby, beginning from the port of Fremantle which is also where your cruise will end.
From here you’ll sail to Kangaroo Island, where you can see a variety of interesting flora and fauna with Seal Bay home to sea lions, the sand dunes of Little Sahara, and various parks and wildlife sanctuaries. It’s then onto the major southern city of Adelaide, from which you can head to the famous wineries of Barossa Valley.
Your cruise then includes a stop on Tasmania with chance to explore the capital of the island, Hobart, before you arrive in Melbourne. There’s a remarkable amount to see in this unique city, and it’s also the shopping capital so take the time to stock up on souvenirs.
Then the ship calls at the coastal town of Eden, from which excursions to the capital city of Canberra are offered to let you see the major political centres and landmarks of this impressive hub.
Sydney is the next port of call, famous for its spectacular harbour which features the iconic architecture of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It’s then onto the Gold Coast at Brisbane before Cairns, where you can see the Great Barrier Reef.
After Cairns it is onto Darwin, where contemporary and aboriginal Australia collide, before the ship sails to the Indonesian islands of Bali, Lombok and Komodo where you can see the famous dragons. Broome is then your final port of call before returning to Fremantle.
There are plenty of other cruises that take you to Australia, so if you want to see parts of the Far or Middle East as well as this incredible country, you’ll find there are plenty of Cruise and Maritime Voyages Australia cruises to suit.
