Oasis of the Seas Reviews

star rating

We travelled to the Caribbean in July with on the Royal Caribbeans Oasis of the Seas with our 2 children who are 8 and 10. We were initially worried about taking children on board a cruise as we thought they may become a bit bored but we couldnt have been more wrong. There was so much to keep the kids occupied on board. There was a Flowrider which is a surf simulator which they absolutely loved, there were also 3d films screened in a big cinema on board and quite often the kids would be taken to these with the kids club so we were free to have a bit of peace and quiet and time to ourselves. We also took advantage of the family time dining which meant that we could eat our meals together as a family and then the kids would be taken off to their kids club and kept entertained leaving us to relax and enjoy a few cocktails. I would definitely use Royal Caribbean again and would recommend it to anyone thinking of cruising with kids.

it to all our friends and they have went on it and are now hooked too!!! Once you have went up to Oasis class ships, it is hard to go back to the other ships. The staff on board, the facilities like the Flow riders, the sports facilities, the Spa & fitness programmes- its just soo modern and relevant to todays customer needs!! We took the My Time Dining on board as we had 2 kids with us and I can say we waited literally no more than 4 mins to get seated every night and our table was always the same one and it was always ready for us, no matter time we arrived in the main restaurant which meant we got to know our Waitress and MaitreD very well- absolutely lovely people and I had no problems in saying they earned they Tips and more. Very delighted with the service we all received and cant wait to go back again…

I have been on both of these ships and they do exactly what they say on the TIN!!!!!! Fun-filled, action packed- lots on offer for the whole family .

If your brave enough you can climb up to the top of the ship and fly across on the zip-line- its not for the faint-hearted but its a free-falling feeling but totally recommended. Plus you have for the first time at sea- the Royal Caribbeans ‘Aqua [email protected] area at the back of the ship- and the shows they do here are breath taking. The show has staff jumping from the highest point of the ship and its almost like the are suspended in mid air… just crazy but a great show and worthwhile… my daughter couldnt believe it!!

The food is simply in abundance and the choice is always amazing on board a Royal ship as I have been with them many times and love everything they offer to me and my Daughter. From the great choice of food to free shows to the childrens club area. These staff members are not paid enough- you sign your child in is completely safe and secure. They do shows, pyjama parties, draw and colour, sciene competitions, do productions that your child is in the parade showing on the Royal Promenade so everyone can view. They are even taken to lunch or dinner , if this suits you and this is all complimentary up to 10pm – then after this time you can pay $6 an hour to 2am and they will keep your child if you want to party at the disco or view a late showing. So again the main thing I love about Royal is that they are soooo well organised and everything just works!!!!

From the moment you reach check in, it takes you 10-15 minutes at the most to get checked in and board the ship- you are greeted with a cocktail and the party starts from the point on…… and you will hear all the bar staff say- its time to party and yell- get your Medication for vacation!!!!! Its drink time…the fun begins every day on board.

WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! UNBELIVEABLE!

I have had the pleasure of cruising on both of these ships from Fort Lauderdale taking Bahamas, St Maarten and St Thomas.

I took my mother and 10 year old daughter with me. There is lots of activites to do for all ages, from the the flow rider, rock climbing walls, ice skating, fantastic children´s clubs, mini golf, zip lane, table tennis and much more!

The restaurants onboard were great, you have the choice of the main restaurant, buffet restaurants, Mexican, Steak, Oriental cuisine and much much more.

My favourite parts of the ship were Central park and Boardwalk. Boardwalk has the 1st carousel at sea, restaurants, bars, aqua shows and shops! Central park was excellent if you wanted a more relaxed evening with its soft music in the background, specialty restaurants, coffee bars.

I would definitely highly recommend these ships to anyone.

Oasis of the Seas – the zip wire was absolutely great as was the Carousel and Flo-Rida’s. The Aqua Theatre was great entertainment on a night and as we had an Aqua Theatre Suite we watched from our balcony each night – the itinerary was great as was the weather. All in all a perfect holiday with the holiday.

We were very excited to have booked the inaugural Christmas cruise on this very new ship the largest of the royal Caribbean fleet at the time.

We travelled as two adults and our 16 year old son who was very impressed At our choice of Holiday I was initially concerned at how 6000 passengers were going to board in just a couple of hours but our fears were put at rest when we arrived at the new terminal at Fort LAuderdale in Florida we had no problem what so ever.

Sleek organised and as large as a major airport check in but faster service.

I was taken aback by the The size and height of this awesome ship. We were truly blown away by its design of engineering.we had booked a cabin on deck 12 but there were actually 16 in total .it towered above all the other mega ships in port.

Upon boarding, we were welcomed by very attentive staff who offered beautiful cocktails.

Initially we thought how welcoming but then there was an additional price tag to the drink. Considering that it away its first Christmas cruise, we felt this cruise cocktail should have been complimentary.

We were greeted then by a fantastic carnival display by the crew and staff. extremely entertaining, very professional.

We then walked the full length of the ship, to try and familiarise ourselves. It took us several days to check out everything. An amazing choice of shops, eateries and entertainments shows . How were er supposed to see and experience it all.

This ship seemed to have everything one could ever want from an entertaining holiday, suitable for all ages, with over 40 restaurants and eating venues we couldn't possibly try all in one week, but the majority of food we enjoyed was typically American in standard.

The entertainment was first class, highly professional and different every night.

We had booked an inside cabin suitable for three but this actually had a balcony that looked out and down to an atrium designed to look like Central Park we could also see the sky so it didn't feel like a traditional inside cabin we were very impressed.FItted out to an extremely high standard.

Our stateroom had all amenities including interactive tv to enlighten us what was going on daily throughout the ship.

The organised trips were great but a little expensive. Nice to be able to visit different destinations and to get away from the crowds

The ship felt overcrowded on sea days especially around the sun decks it sometimes was difficult to get a bed outside near the pool.

James our son had great fun on the flow rider and with much practice achieved success and balance, but during school holidays the kids areas were very busy indeed.

A thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining holiday with great service. However we felt the ship was too big for us, especially for only one week. One could lose that personal touch and somewhat over crowded especially during school holidays.

We look forward to another cruise in the future with another company.

We hadn’t cruised before, yet we decided to cruise on Royal Caribbeans Oasis of the Seas last summer. One of my main fears was sea sickness. However after a few hours of being on the ship, I forgot I was on one! The amount to do on board was incredible. A week just wasn’t enough, being on the ship was a holiday in itself, the excursions and wonderful ports we visited were an added bonus as well!

Two words for you – Aqua Theatre – the water shows are amazing. I have never seen a show like it the fact the back drop of the shows was the beautiful ocean made it all the more special. I would of happily paid to view something as excellent as this show and I cant believe it was included in the cost of my holiday for free. The added extras you get on-board make every penny you spend worth while

I was afraid this cruise would be full of children and the complete opposite of what I wanted from my first cruise! being a teacher, I wanted something relaxed, informal, and not too many children! My husband convinced me that this was the cruise for us. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! it was the Oasis of the Sea, a massive ship! But with bigger ships brings more facilities, so I found myself in the adults on areas a lot! I made great use of the fitness centre, the Vitality spa and I thoroughly enjoyed the library and observation deck for some quiet time. We went for the Junior Suite and it was beautiful. Spacious and very well decorated. I took part in lots of classes, yoga, dancing and even some kickboxing! It was the best holiday I’ve ever had. I don’t know why we have never cruised before.

I went on this ship with my family as the children really wanted to try the ship. I was very impressed. The ship was much larger that I usually prefer but there was so much to do on-board that it never felt overcrowded.

The restaurants were amazing especially the cupcake shop. There was loads of different entertainment every night and we always had great fun.

I never saw my children as there are great kids clubs on-board, this meant I had a great relaxing holiday and my children had so much fun.

I would recommend this ship to people of all ages.

WOW!!! Is all I can say for this ship. She is massive and has everything onboard that you could ever think of from hot dog and cupcake shops to merry go rounds.as soon as we stepped onboard this ship we were in awe the whole time. We opted for a boardwalk balcony and tried to get it as close to the aquatheatre as possible and got an amazing view of the shows from luxury of our own cabin. Cabin size itself was very good and of a high standard. Entertainment was 1st class and will definitely be booking to come back onboard again!!

Me and My husband just got back of the Oasis of the Seas. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on board and are really keen to book another on board. We loved the size of the ship, it was like being in a fantastic city, but at sea, waking up in a beautiful Caribbean island each day. It was great! The days at sea were great too, part of me wanted to explore the massive ship, the other part of me loved lazing in the sun with an Ultimate Mai Tai! Will be back very soon to experience more of the great ship, and maybe branch out and try a new cocktail?!

I went on the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the seas in the summer last year. I have two teenagers who are quite a handful and I was worried that they would just be complaining about being on a ship with nothing to do but it was the complete opposite because I barely saw them with them having so much fun in the kids clubs and they were never off the rock climbing and the flo rider. It was brilliant as I was able to get some peace and they were really enjoying themselves. We had a junior suite which was lovely and spacious and comfortable sitting out on the balcony at night with my glass of wine was amazing. We loved it so much we have booked again on the same ship for this summer.

I really wanted to have a balcony cabin but it cost so much more than an ocean view, then a friend suggested why not have an inside balcony cabin – I thought he was mad until I read the reviews on the Oasis of the seas. The inside balcony cabin was quite a bit cheaper and it allowed us to have a good view of the Arial shows round about the pool area. Great idea, well done Matty for suggesting it to us.

Me and my family cruised on the Oasis of the Seas in November around the Caribbean. It was a huge ship with lots to do which was great for the kids. This ship featured “The Dreamworks Experience”, there was different shows with characters from Madagascar and Shrek and also meet and greets which the kids loved.

There was also kids clubs on board which meant I could relax in the spa while the kids were being looked after. There are so many different activities on board for the kids and myself and as the ship featured my time dining it meant I never had to rush for dinner reservations. There were so many different dining options on board and room service was great when we wanted to relax in the cabin.
