Mardi Gras

The next ship to join Carnival Cruise Line’s fleet is Mardi Gras, due to be the largest ship ever built by the cruise line! The ship will also be the first in North America to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), a fuel which produces almost zero emission and represents a huge turning point for Carnival Cruise Lines.

Mardi Gras hosts six Zones for eating, drinking and general fun, including: Grand Central, the hub of the ship and home to popular dining spots such as Bonsai Sushi and Bonsai Teppanyaki; French Quarter, inspired by New Orleans and host of classic cocktails and eateries worthy of their namesake; Summer Landing, the greatest chill spot at sea with BBQ-inspired restaurants such as Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse; La Piazza, ideal for Italian fare and favourites including 24-hour Pizzeria del Capitano; Lido, a poolside zone featuring casual dining spots such as Seafood Shack and BlueIguana Cantina, as well as the 24-hour ice cream spot, Swirls; The Ultimate Playground, not just for kids this zone is ideal for all with BOLT – the first rollercoaster at sea – and plenty of fun for all the family.
Accommodation - Carnival Cruise Lines


The ship will accommodate over 5,200 guests and will be the first in the XL-Class – new to Carnival Cruise Line. Her accommodation has yet to be fully announced, but we will update you with more information as soon as we can!
Outdoor deck - Mardi Gras


Mardi Gras offers six themed areas to explore on-board, each packed with brand-new experiences for eating, drinking and dining. The Grand Central is the hub of the ship, with floor-to-ceiling windows and handcrafted cocktails; French Quarter is inspired by New Orleans with jazz clubs and bistros; Summer Landing is perfect for chilling out with BBQs, poolside bars and ice creams; La Piazza brings an Italian feel to the ship with 24-hour pizza; Lida is home of the poolside zone with tiki bars, tacos and Shaq´s Big Chicken!
Rollercoaster - Carnival Mardi Gras


With six fun Zones to explore, from the New Orleans-inspired French Quarter to the Ultimate Playground for all, there are plenty of things to see and do on-board Mardi Gras. One of the main attractions already announced is the first rollercoaster at sea – BOLT – offering you the chance to experience whizzing around the ship 187-feet above sea level on an unforgettable coaster ride. Other entertainment options are yet to be announced, but we will update you with more information as soon as we can!
