She has opulent décor and beautiful public spaces, as well as an attentive crew with one of the highest staff-to-guest ratios at sea, at one staff member to 1.7 guests. There are numerous outstanding restaurants on-board, including Umi Uma, the Japanese-Peruvian venue that first brought chef Nobu recognition. Following dinner, live entertainment includes shows and musical performances, with fantastic original productions to enjoy. And during the day, there’s the golf putting green with driving range, the wrap-around Promenade Deck to explore, and the Crystal Life Salon & Crystal Spa offering exceptional treatments for mind and body.
The main place to dine on the Crystal Symphony is The Crystal Dining Room – Waterside - offering international cuisine in a highly elegant setting, it’s always a favourite with the on-board guests. Alternative restaurants also include: Italian-inspired, Prego; Asian-cuisine, Silk Road; and popular sushi hot-spot, Sushi Bar. Reservations are required at these three restaurants, however, for a more causal setting you can enjoy dining in the Trident Grill for pizzas and burgers; indulge in an ice cream at Scoops; or take your seat at the Marketplace and Churrascaria for modern food islands and self-serve dishes.
Rooms on-board Crystal Symphony include Oceanview, Balcony and Suite with comfortable furnishings and large snug beds throughout. The selection varies between Deluxe Staterooms, Seabreeze Penthouse, Crystal Penthouse, Penthouse and Penthouse Suite.
Each stateroom has been designed and decorated with great care, comprising comfortable furnishings and large snug beds come with Egyptian linens and duvets, and full-size bathrooms boast glass and tile surfaces with ultra-modern styles.
Sit poolside and bathe in the sun, or take a dip in the large on-board pool or one of the few bubbling Jacuzzis for the ultimate relaxing moment. Enjoy an early morning workout at the Exercise Studio or stretch your legs with the jogging track on-board. For competitive guests, there is a sports deck complete with a shuffleboard court, table tennis and a golf driving range to practice your swing.
Children on-board Crystal Symphony will also have fun at the Fantasia Children’s’ Centre and Waves Teen Centre, while you relax in the Crystal Spa. Here, guests can indulge in treatments such as ocean wraps, massages and reflexology with rooms overlooking the ocean views to send you into utter bliss.
Fancy watching a stunning Broadway-style show? Then take a seat in the Galaxy Lounge, for stunning acts and live entertainment. The Hollywood Theatre also showcases recently released movies and classic film favourites for all to enjoy. For a late-night boogie, there are cabaret shows at the Starlite Club. If you’re feeling lucky, why not head to the Casino to try your hand at blackjack or poker?

Elegant, contemporary and modern luxury at sea. From the minute you board it is apparent that luxury, space and service is paramount to Crystal. With fast track check in the process whisks guest through the port terminal and onto the ship for final registration so they can begin their cruise. Although this is one of the larger luxury ships, this does not compromise anything at all, it still has the intimate feel of the luxury lines. On board this incredibly spacious ship which has been designed to appeal to a wide selection of interests for everyone´s personal enjoyment, you can pamper yourself with a Balinese massage at the Spa or simply perfect you swing on the driving range with some advice from the pro on board. You can even live out a childhood dream and learn to play the piano or even learn a new language.
As the evening arrives the curtain rises on lavish shows, intimate cabarets and of course exceptional dinning. You can indulge in rare wines at a Vintage Room Dinner or even sneak sway to watch a recently released movie in the spacious theatre.
With Perfect choice dinning you are invited to dine exactly when you want with choices of the classis main and late seatings as well as dinning by reservation, a different time, a different table just for you or your newfound friends. Enjoy the amazing menus of Chef Nobu at the Silk Road and the Sushi bar or the superb Italian at the Prego. Choose the Bistro for a more casual experience.
We cruised on the Crystal Symphony in July last year, we chose a Baltic itinerary as we have cruised to so many other places and done the Mediterranean to death!! We also wanted a shorter flight so this one really did fit the bill. We flew British airways Club Europe which was worth the cost due to the executive lounge at Heathrow and extra luggage as my wife would never manage with just 23kg (she’s uses that for shoes alone!!), all flights were on time and on arrival we were swiftly taken to the ship did the very efficient embarkation process which took no time at all. Out stateroom was on deck 8 in a forward location which was nice and quiet and was very spacious with a great balcony area I enjoyed when my wife was getting ready. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom more than adequate for your needs with the bonus of having a tub. The food on-board was excellent in all the dining venues (especially Prego) and the waiting staff very efficient, we also had excellent company each evening and made some very good friends. The entertainment was ok but we don’t really go for that, we tend to make our own and had some excellent evenings in the Starlite Club with other guests we met. The all inclusive element of this cruise made it great value and when you compare the price to other cruise lines and factor in bar bills and tips plus the higher standard it does make better sense to cruise Crystal. The itinerary was excellent and we did trips most days, they were expensive however always a very high standard of tour guide which in places like St Petersburg is a must. Also if you plan to do your own thing in St Petersburg I believe you need to obtain a visa before you travel. All the cities were excellent however I do feel I am now ready for a more relaxing trip!! Overall a terrific cruise with wonderful service, accommodation and company.
Crystal Symphony – Crystal Cruises exceeded all of our expectations and more! From the staff, food and overall cruising experience was absolutely fantastic. The staterooms are of the highest quality and the new renovation of the pool/open deck area meant that we looked forward to the days at sea!
We had heard great reviews about Crystal so booked onto a cruise with them in the Mediterranean. On entering the ship the one thing we noticed was how spacious all the public areas were. Although they are not small ships they carry fewer passengers so it enables them to have more space for public areas. Never once did you feel in a crowded area. We also knew that she has been refurbished and this has been done to a very high quality. The staterooms were beautiful, the public areas were stunning and the new loungers and furniture they have on the pool deck really gave it a feeling or elegance.
The food was just amazing, I cant think of anywhere that I would have ate food of this quality and the service from the staff was just incredible, nothing was too much to ask, they were extremely friendly and it was great to see them each night. The entertainment on-board was so good we would go to watch the show every night and then spend some time chilling and speaking with people who we had met on the cruise. What was interesting was that many people we spoke to were repeats and had sailed with Crystal many times. Having experienced the product we can understand why.
When we think of how much it would have cost to stay in a hotel of this standard, eat food and drink of this standard and have it available to you all day every day, with the great entertainment and activities that are offered, the cruise really did offer excellent value. It is such a great ship, we would certainly be returning with Crystal in the near future.
We have done many luxury cruises and have recently returned from our first Crystal onboard Symphony. We were very impressed with the service and attention to detail. The ship was very modern and the facilities were great. As it was slightly larger than we had experienced before we found the entertainment excellent and did enjoy the more traditional style dining. We had a Penthouse Suite which was very spacious and the butler was always willing to help with any requirements we had. We now hope to try the sister ship Serenity as from reading reviews it seems to be one of the best cruise ships in the world but hard to believe it could be better then Symphony.
Our family have just returned from a wonderful week on board the Crystal Symphony. We were a little apprehensive at first as we have 2 teenagers and we weren’t sure how they would be catered for on board the ship, but they looked after them so well. They were always entertained, and this made the whole holiday much easier for us as we were able to relax a lot more.
There were a few families on board with similar aged children to us, which we didn’t expect and so the children made some lovely friends as well.
The food was always varied and with having 2 teenagers, who are both fussy eaters, they always had a choice – great help!
We had booked 2 staterooms next to each other and we are so glad we did as the extra space really helped.
Next time we cruise we will definitely be using Crystal as everything was faultless and now we know we don’t have to worry about the children either. A wonderful family break with excellent service and certainly a ship we would recommend.I have just returned from by 1st ever Crystal cruise and I have to say that this cruise was just perfect.
My husband and myself picked this cruise as we wanted 6 star luxury, not a small ship but not too big either and all inclusive on board the ship.
Our stateroom was just a perfect size with a veranda and a very sizable bathroom. I loved sitting with my coffee on the balcony and watching the world go by. The stateroom attendant was just great she couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we were comfortable enough in our cabin.
The restaurants on board were to die for. Our favourite restaurant was Silk Road (Asian style) I must recommend the Nobu box when you dine in this restaurant. The main restaurant was great too as we got to sit with other people and listen to everyone’s comments about their day.
From broad way style shows to dancing, Computer University @ Sea, Boutique shops, tennis courts, spa and hair dressers and much more. There is more than enough to keep you entertained on your days at sea!
I cant wait now to book my next years holiday with Crystal.
Many thanks for recommending this to us.
This really is a spectacular ship and in my opinion is far superior to any other ship out there.
The first thing which stood out for me was how pristine and immaculate everything on board is – the chandelier in the guest service area with the waterfall makes it an incredible joining point on board the cruise. Everything was in fantastic condition and to my amazement I was told it was going in for a 25 million dollar re fit shortly after I had seen it. I was so surprised as everything was in such fabulous condition, however for Crystal cruises this is the norm. Every 2 years each ship is taken off sale for a multi million dollar re fit.
The food on board was delicious, probably the best I have ever had. The choice of food is endless and if you aren´t happy or keen with anything on the menu, you can ask the chef to cook you something else. There´s never a problem and everything is cooked to order.
As Crystal is now All Inclusive, with all drinks included and gratuities, they really are giving the other six star ships a run for their money.
The staterooms are spacious and modern. The décor is beautifully designed with pastel and neutral colours which makes it feel larger in size. The balcony was a nice size with a table and chairs so you can sit on out and watch the world go by with a nice complimentary glass of wine to enjoy.
They live up to the values of a six star cruise and I would definitely recommend Crystal. The overall Crystal experience, really is Crystal clear.
