Queens Lounge

Dining

If you’re staying in the Britannia accommodation, then the Britannia Restaurant is for you. An elegant two-tier dining room, offering a wide selection of a la carte specialities where you can dine at a time to suit you between 6pm and 8:30pm. Then there are the two Grill Rooms - Queens Grill (exclusive to Queens Grill Suite guests) and Princess Grill. Both are exclusive eateries featuring impressive a la carte menus. Adding to the roster is The Veranda Restaurant. Reservations are required here - and there is a cover charge for lunch and dinner. But the extra effort is definitely worth it. For a more casual eatery, there’s always The Lido Cafe and the Golden Lion Pub - where traditional British pub food is served at an additional charge.

Balcony Cabin

Accommodation

There are plenty of different categories of staterooms to choose from, all offering guests plenty of space. Staterooms start with the Inside, of which there are Single and Deluxe options. Oceanview and Balcony also offer differing choices such as Club Balcony or those with Obstructed Views. Of the suites, guests can enjoy a choice of Princess Grill Suite, Queens Grill Suites, Penthouse, Master Suites and Grand Suites. If you decide to stay in one of the Queen Suites then you can expect a private butler, priority check-in and plenty of other little luxuries that will truly make your voyage worthwhile.

Spa Pool

Activities

Why not start each day with a brisk walk or jog around the Promenade Deck while taking in the splendid views? Guests can also enjoy a leisurely swim in two of the swimming pools or just relax in one of the few whirlpools. With its English country garden feel, the Games Deck is a great place to play croquet, traditional bowls or paddle tennis. Fancy learning to dance the Jitterbug, the Lindy Hop or traditional Ballroom? Attend the on-board dance lessons and practice for the evening. Or if you like your retail therapy, you will love the traditional arcade on deck three.

Children can have a fun time too, thanks to Queen Elizabeth’s children’s programme on deck 10, run by qualified nannies. There is an outdoor children’s play area and programmes for teenagers, while babysitting services are also available.

The Royal Spa by Elemis boasts a range of indulgent treatments and massages, for a treat yourself day.

Royal Court Theater

Entertainment

In the style of a classic opera house, the three-tier high Royal Court Theatre features 20 private royal boxes, which you can reserve for a special occasion if you wish. There is a lounge for pre-show drinks, too. A fabulous Big Band night is often held in the Queens Room - where you will be served afternoon tea as you listen to the live music. For a more intimate venue, there is the Yacht Club, where you can dance until the early hours. Feeling lucky? Head off to the Empire Casino to play on the slot machines. In terms of the bars and lounges you can choose from, there a huge range; Café Carinthia, Commodore Club, Golden Lion Pub, Queens Room, The Garden Lounge, The Pavilion and the Yacht Club are all ready to be discovered by cruisers.

    • Three-tier Royal Court Theatre

Queen Elizabeth Reviews

Newest ship for Cunard, very grand , traditional, oldy-worldy sense with a modern twist. Great service with the formal White star waiters/waitresses , excellent cabin choice with a lot bigger balcony then some other cruise lines and the Queens Grill Suites are absolutely mind blowing!! In Size, facilities and extra benefit and not to forget the massive wrap round balcony with full loungers and dining table on your balcony to entertain other Friends. Excellent Grand Library – look stunning even if your not a book lover!! Huge Theatre lounge with private boxes for hire as if you were actually in the Theatre for the shows.

Absolutely gorgeous ship- very oldy , worldly…. Lots of grandeur, quality and tradition!!

Its a great twist between old traditional cruising with the modern luxury with it. Very formal on board, nice restaurants, good theatre show on board etc etc.

I had been on Cunard before on the old Queen Elizabeth, many years ago and it was fantastic to see how much changed but also how much hadnt changed, meaning they kept the original Cunard standards and features on board like the Grand Pianos, huge library plus adding in a few twists like the English Pub on board and the Terrace restaurant offering more intimate modern dining options.

I always love going on board Cunard ships and love the formality to them, its always a nice change from the newer, modern Royal Caribbean or Princess ships I go on, which are more relaxed and not as formal. There balconys on board are a lot bigger than their competitors which is a great bonus.

I had such a wonderful holiday onboard the Cunard Queen Elizabeth – I booked in the Princess Grille Suites and the restaurant which was exclusive to suite guests was out of this world. I cruise regularly onboard Cunard but this was my 1st time on the Queen Elizabeth, the spa had such an array fo great facilities and the courtyard was superb. Can’t wait to return!

We are extremely experienced cruisers, with over 20 years sailing experience. So when sailing with Cunard on the Queen Elizabeth for the first time we were surprised at how impressed we were. We are of a more mature age, so to be on a ship with such a relaxed feel really did suit us. The standard of food was fantastic, and the entertainment was equivalent to what id expect from a West End show in London. It definitely exceeded our expectations, and we will be cruising with Cunard again.

We are an elderly couple and like the old style ships and dining, where we can get really dressed up and sit and mix with other couples at dinner which is why we chose Cunard, Queen Elizabeth. The cabin we had was a balcony cabin and it was lovely. The shows and entertainment is exactly what we like especially the Royal Court Theatre which was outstanding and we had a great view from our private box. The service is brilliant and personal could not fault it there was always someone around to help with anything or even just to give you that personal greeting when entering the dining rooms. Definitely booking with them again this year.

I have recently returned from doing a 14 day fjord cruise on the Queen Elizabeth. One of the best things about the ship was the experience the dedicated crew made us have. They literally went out of the way to provide us with a once in a life time memorable cruise for our 45th wedding anniversary. Me and my husband booked a AA grade balcony cabin which gave exclusive priority seating in the Britannia club restaurant. I loved every moment of this cruise from the fine dining to the luxurious bedroom we had. There was never a day on this cruise that we could complain about anything. The food was super and the evening shows were amazing. I will definitely be booking a 14 night med cruise next year.

Queen Elizabeth- overall excellent standard of ship, very majestic and traditional. Food was mouth-watering! I would highly recommend Cunard line and the White Star service they offer. My cabin was a balcony and a great big size of a balcony, it comfortably held about 5-6 people when we meet with friends before evening drinks. Nice comfy seating. I am looking forward to getting back on board the ship again very soon.

I had travelled previously on the Old Queen Elizabeth and thought I would see what the new Queen Elizabeth was like. I loved the fact that most of the other passengers are from the UK and as we sailed away from Southampton felt we were in for a grand trip. The ship oozes class with its marble and polished wood everywhere and the portrait of the Queen is a real good likeness.

I was in a Britannia Grade cabin so ate in the Britannia Restaurant apart from one lunchtime when we were invited to a special meal in the Princess Grill. The service was a little better there but I felt the food was just as good in the Britannia Restaurant.

I’m glad I took my really posh dresses for the formal nights as it was a very big affair and really grand. We also booked the box in theatre one night which made it special and well worth the supplement as we had drinks and petit fours served and our own personal bell boy.

We danced the night away most nights and all in all had a fantastic trip.

What a truly magical time on the Cunard ship the Queen Elizabeth. This was or fourth time with Cunard but the first time on this fantastic vessel. Having only launched in the last couple of years I was expecting Cunard to have lost the classic style they are so well known for. I couldn’t have been more wrong the class, style and attention to detail is still there well done Cunard another fantastic ship. We even had a good chat with the captain 1 night which was a real treat, such a charming man. I think we are going to find it hard to match this cruise loved every moment.
