MS Veendam
Offering a premium cruise experience, Veendam is ideal for guests who want a more spacious, tranquil voyage than rival cruise lines may offer. Her contemporary décor is adorned with a wonderful art collection, creating a luxurious atmosphere where guests can feel at home yet always in awe of an antique or beautiful painting.
There’s still plenty to enjoy on-board, despite the more spacious accommodations and relaxed public areas, including fine dining in a choice of venues and live entertainment in the Las Vegas style. Families are welcome too, with Club HAL offering areas and activities for younger children and for teens to ensure every guest has a fun-packed holiday.
What's On-board
Veendam has four restaurants on-board, including the main Dining Room venue which offers a formal experience for five-course menus. The intimate reservation-only Pinnacle Grill offers a sophisticated dining experience and the Lido Restaurant provides a more relaxed, casual option. After dinner, head for one of the numerous bars and lounges, take in a show at the double-deck Showroom at Sea, try your luck at the casino, take in a movie at the cinema and end the night with a dance at the Crow´s Nest nightclub, offering sweeping 270° views out to sea.
Veendam offers a wide range of staterooms, from Inside to Suites, meaning that there is something for every budget on offer. There is also Ocean View, Lanai – which opens onto your very own section of the ship’s Promenade deck – as well as the Vista Suite and Neptune Suite.
Veendam has an array of activities for you to choose from. During the day you can work-out in the state-of-the-art fitness centre, learn yoga, take a dip in a choice of two outdoor pools (one with sliding glass roof), check your email in the Explorations Café or take a cooking class from Master Chefs at the Culinary Arts Centre demonstration kitchen.
Treat yourself to a day of pampering in the Greenhouse Spa & Salon where you can choose from treatments such as facials and hot stone massages, steam in a thermal suite, and enjoy manicures and hair styling. Veendam also offers an age appropriate kids programme jam-packed full of fun activities, offered to kids from five to 12 years of age.
There are plenty of entertainment venues aboard Veendam with something to suit the whole family. Mainstage is the main ship´s entertainment hot-spot where you can see Broadway shows, singers, dancers and comedy acts. Crow’s Nest offers sweeping panoramic views during the day and transforms into a nightclub after dark, so you can dance the night away. The Casino is perfect for anyone who likes to gamble, with slot machines and blackjack tables, or if you fancy relaxing with a cocktail then you can try the Ocean Bar.
