Dining

Oceania Marina offers a selection of fine dining restaurants, including two new speciality restaurants, Jacques and Red Ginger. And, as they all offer open seating, it gives you the flexibility to dine as and when you want. The Grand Dining Room is a wonderfully elegant choice for an evening meal. This is where you’ll be graciously served courses of delicious French-inspired Continental cuisine. There’s a superb selection of dishes for breakfast and lunch, and at least ten appetizers and 12 entrées at dinner. The exquisite menus change daily for lunch and dinner. Jacques is the first namesake restaurant of renowned master chef Jacques Pépin – where you can look forward to enjoying French cuisine at its very best.

The ship was fabulous, nothing was too much trouble and our cabin boy was brilliant. All the restaurants were really good but my favourite was Red Ginger where they served lots of courses and you could even choose your own teabags! I also really enjoyed afternoon tea which was white glove service, lots of sandwiches and lovely scones with fresh cream. We had a Balcony cabin on deck 8 which was lovely and big and there was a bath in the bathroom as well as a shower. The evening entertainment was good and the Martini Bar was great for a night cap. I will definitely sail with Oceania again, maybe the new Riviera next time.

Food had to be the best I have ever tasted! Most evenings we were in the Grand dining room. There was a different menu every night, but you could still order the “Standard dishes” if you will like steak or sea bass etc, always plenty of variety to suite everyone This is located on deck six. The food could be ordered to individual taste, and it was always prompt service.

There is the Polo Grill Steak house. Toscana Restaurant which served Italian, Jacques, French food. There is also red ginger which we got to dine at, this is fine Asian Cuisine, and the dining area is fantastic! With lots of modern art work scattered around. There was also the terrace which is situated at the back of the ship with fantastic views when youre in port! This is the main venue for breakfast however you could go in to the grand dining room if you wanted waiter service.

One thing I will say is that even in the buffet options for dining the waiters will always place the food on your plate, no one is ever seen helping themselves, this is down to health regulations and it does work well. There is a open poolside grill called waves this serves burgers, hot dogs and chips and has an ice cream bar! Horizons serves English Tea and Scones with cream cakes at 5pm every day.

I havent been on any other six star ships to compare but I havent seen a suite so big! It was a B3 grade, the only thing I would say about these is that the veranda wasnt very spacious, and there was enough for 2 x chairs and a small table. Bernard advised that the B4 grades had the biggest verandas. The beds where very comfy, we had a disabled stateroom so didnt get a bath

There was a mini bar that got stocked every day, 24 hour room service, Thick cotton slippers and bathrobes. Due to suites being full we couldnt get to have a look at any of the other accommodation on board.

There was a main theater which we got to have a look at, it wasnt that big and if passengers wanted to see a show they would have to make sure they had eaten early enough so that they could go and guarantee their place. There was a casino that definitely had the “wow” factor, there where neon violet lights that lit the bar and tables up with crystal boarders that outlined the bar! A fully stocked library with big comfy leather chairs. Each night located in the Horizons bar there is a variety of entertainment options. There was a Pool deck Learning classes, such as photography, Cooking and Art lessons.

Service on board is second to none, anything you wanted could have been done. I loved every minute of it was a fantastic experience. My highlight was the food on board there was so much choice and every dish I tasted was excellent, there was 12 of us in the group and no one had a bad word to say about it, everyone loved it! Also the sun loungers were incredible, with big soft double mattresses on which were so comfy. The only thing I can say is about the shows in the evening, you have to eat as early as possible in order to get your place.

I was lucky enough to travel on the beautiful Oceania Marina last year and wow was it amazing!!

The first thing that strikes you are the polished woods, chandeliers and quality of everything you see. Whilst Marina is classed as a medium sized ship (1250 passengers) it by no means feels cramped or crowded quite the opposite in fact.

The Cabins start at 174 square foot for an inside or with a Verandah 282 sq feet which is considerably larger than a lot of ships lead in size. There is a large bathroom with bath as standard and shower, sitting area and queen or twin beds. Oceania pride themselves on their bed linens which have 1000 thread count (for those in the know!) and tranquillity beds, they are pretty amazing and so comfortable. Your mini bar is also stocked with soft drinks which are included in your cruise price.

Moving around the ship there are many areas to while away your days, lounges, coffee bar and on the pool deck there are sumptuous sun beds – some of them doubles!

Oceania are renowned for their food and it is to die for! The main dining restaurant is superb and you can easily have all of your meals there however there are some alternatives – Jacques French Cuisine, Polo A la Carte – here they serve amazing Lobster and Steaks, Italian at Toscana and then Asian Fusion at Red Ginger which is a fantastic experience. Around the ship there are other less formal venues such as Baristas Coffee Bar, Waves the Poolside grill who do amazing burgers and shakes. There is also the traditional afternoon tea – not be missed!! So please don´t go on an Oceania to maintain a diet as it just won´t happen.

Soft drinks, teas and coffees are included in the price however you will need to purchase any alcohol you may want – I found the prices to be average for cruise ships – along the lines of a good restaurant or hotel in the UK. There is of course evening entertainment – Production shows in the Theatre, the Martini bar that is all lit up in Swarovski Crystals in different colours and various other bars and music areas dotted around the ship. They also have Cookery schools on board, guest lectures and a Casino so plenty to occupy your evenings.

In summary if you want fantastic service, lovely itineraries – Oceania visit a lot of the smaller ports and have less sea days, amazing food and great value for money you really can´t beat it!

When I first arrived on this ship, I thought to myself that a lot of guests must re-book this cruise liner as it is so fantastic! From the decor, standard of the staterooms, restaurants, quality of food and service from staff is just out of this world.

The Spa and fitness centre is very modern with all of the mod cons you would find in any top fitness centre or spa and the prices are reasonable too. Every attention to detail is just amazing.

I have no hesitation in recommending this cruise liner to anyone.

A real taste of luxury in my opinion, a mid size ship which has affordable luxury! Fine Dining (open seating) Six restaurants to choose from!

Amazing speciality restaurants on board ( with no cover charge) The food was superb, well prepared and exquisitely presented….

The Canyon Ranch Spa Club which had fantastic facilities! A Country Club casual feel, no formal evenings …my type of cruise!

Although Marina is mid size she boasts a spacious design that affords expansive suites and staterooms. Staterooms, starting with Inside (a very generous 174 square foot) right up to the suites, all had ultimate luxury! All staterooms have the marble and granite –clad bathrooms, private verandas in 96% of the accommodations! Tranquility beds with 700 thread-count linens guaranteed a great night sleep!

All soft drinks are included in the cost!!!!! Entertainment was varied and I would say had an appeal for everyone.

What a fantastic holiday we have just had. We started off with 2 nights in Istanbul before getting on board the Oceania Marina and it surpassed all our expectations! We’ve cruised a few times but hadn’t really heard of Oceania and went with our agents recommendation, and we are so glad we did.

The food on board was the standout point for us, with every single meal being of such a high quality.

The cabin was lovely and big – we had a standard balcony, and every single member of staff was more than attentive.

Such a hidden gem in the cruise world, but we will certainly return with them.

We have just recently returned from the 16 day Sydney – Auckland on Oceania Marina ship.

We had a Penthouse Suite on Deck 10 which was perfect for us, very roomy and not much more expensive than the standard balcony cabins.

The itinerary was wonderful and a great way to see Australia and New Zealand, we did a few excursions through Oceania which although pricey were very good. We stayed in Sydney for a few days before going on the ship to make the trip worthwhile flying all that way.

Marina was marvellous, staff were excellent, in particular our Butler who couldn’t do enough for us. The Suite was superb and well equipped with toiletries.

We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experiences, managed to get into Polo 3 times which was our favourite!! The other restaurants are excellent also.

I tried a couple of spa treatments which were great – the spa are is well organised and the girls are really nice.

This was our second trip on an Oceania cruise and we find them fantastic value for money, great quality and lovely itineraries.

It wont be our last!!

I have recently returned from doing a Baltic cruise on the Oceania Marina, which is one of the larger and most newest ships within their fleet. The thing I loved about the Marina was that the dress code was country casual. I have cruised with Cunard and Holland America before and was advised that Oceania Marina is a stepping stone to luxury into premium cruise lines and I was a bit reluctant in trying the ship at first with it being so new. However I could not have been so wrong, the food was to die for. The ship had 10 speciality restaurants and was small and intimate, you did not have to pay to eat in the restaurants but I would recommend you to pre-book on Oceania’s website if you want to eat in Polo grill which is a popular steak food restaurant and the Red ginger restaurant (which my butler managed to get us in 3 times during out cruise) I was most impressed. The thing I also enjoyed about the ship was the room size being spacious and the bedding being absolutely amazing, on the mattress they had a camomile infused mattress which helped you get a good nights sleep. Me and my husband also tried a few spa treatments in the Canyon ranch which is also another thing I would recommend you to try. Whilst doing our cruise we met a couple of friends on board so we decided to exclusively book the Privee restaurant which is a 8 seated restaurant where you can order food from any speciality restaurant you desired, this was $250 dollars to book but it was well worth it for the service and you received and the indulgent food. I will definitely be going back on the Oceania Marina as I would like to do the Black sea next time.

From the moment we saw her in Dover we knew we had made a great choice Marina has sleek lines and is pristine the crew were shining every inch of her. We had some of the best dining which would compete with some of the best London restaurants Jacques was my favourite however my husband booked the Polo Grill two nights as we enjoyed the menu so much. The cabins onboard were spacious and our cabin steward was very attentive nothing went unnoticed. The entertainment onboard was quite low key however that suits us best and there was no thinking of arranging our evening around a timetable . We enjoyed our last cruise so much we have booked for May this year .

The ship was beautiful and elegant and with 1,200 +- passengers it never felt crowded and is a comfortable size. The staff on board look after you very well nothing was to much trouble. I really enjoyed the excellent choice of dining venues all complimentary. Our Stateroom was a really good size and had everything you needed and more with a large Veranda. We will definitely cruise on Oceania again!

As soon as you enter you get a sense of luxury straight away. The ship was truly magnificent and I was in awe of how well it was presented. Everywhere exuded opulence and style. We entered out stateroom and they were so beautiful, luxurious and we knew we were going to have a great holiday.

On exploring the ship, we came across so many public areas which carried the same style throughout and we were so pleased we had chosen this ship to sail with.

When it came to dining the food was exquisite. There was such a choice of dining options, from fine dining, to main dining and then if you preferred to have a more informal dinner you had this option as well. The food was of six star quality as was the service we received from the waiters in the dining areas.

The staff across the ship were great. They were so friendly, they always wanted to talk or help out in any way they could. We watched some amazing shows and saw some amazing entertainment whilst on this holiday. There was nothing we could fault throughout the entire trip and this is the first of many times we will use Oceania. A great product and if you are someone who enjoys great food and wine then this is definitely for you.

From the moment we stepped on board the ship we fell in love with Marina and the obvious luxury which is abundant. What made this experience incredible for us was the most amazing and finest places to dine at sea with the main restaurant and the speciality restuarants all offering the most exquisite dinning. For us Oceania have a winning formula here with elegant ships and the choices of restaurants all at no extra costs. The quality is extremely high and will always make you want to return again and again. Another highlight for us was afternoon tea in the Horizons lounge which made us feel we where in the 19th Century. The classical string quartet made the experience real for us. One tip we have is when dinning in the speciality restaurants to book no later than 7.30pm if you like to see the shows which start at 9.30pm each night. For us the whole culinary experience was amazing, we even tried out the Culinary centre where we had hands on experience from professional chefs, amazing really.

We have sailed once before on the Oceania Insignia and had such a good time that we decided to book the new Marina when the ship first started sailing. We are now in the process of booking our 3rd trip on the Marina as we were so blown away with the ship.
The design is wonderful and every single member of staff makes you feel at home and so welcome.
The food, as ever is mouth watering and of such a high quality that you feel you are in a world renowned restaurant. We have made some great friends on board and have no plans at all to sail with anyone else in the future.
I really would recommend Oceania, and specifically the Marina to anyone looking for an outstanding quality cruise, for excellent value.

When I first came on board the Oceania Marina I was taken back to how spacious the ship was and how beautiful even the lobby was.

The standard and quality of the furniture and furnishings were very high. I don’t understand how Oceania place themselves between a 5 star and a 6 star cruise liner, as I would rate them to be up with Silversea , Regent, Seabourn and Crystal.

With the ship at near full occupancy we were only able to see a veranda stateroom. The size of the area was 282 square feet including the balcony. The bathroom had a full size bath in it which I think will appeal to a lot of guests who travel with the mainstream liners who need to upgrade to a suite before getting a bathtub!

The beds in the stateroom were talked about a lot as they are described as “Prestige tranquillity beds with 700 thread count linen!” Very comfortable indeed.

You will also get a minibar in the stateroom with free and unlimited soft drinks and bottled water.

You have a choice of restaurants on board the Marina which will mean that you will never get bored of the food, plus you will not have to pay cover charge for the speciality restaurants. You will need to pre book these before travel or when on board the ship but it is subject to availability. If you can imagine yourself dining with your friends and family with breathing taking views of the Mediterranean, Caribbean or even a day at sea, this is such a special dining option.

When it was time for lunch we were told that we would be dining in the Grand dining room. When I walked in I was drawn to the massive crystal chandelier , beautiful laid tables and with staff greeting you on arrival .

We took a look around the spa area on the ship and the peace and tranquillity of this area was amazing. If you feel the need to work of the culinary delights then I would head to the state of the art gym which were very high tech and they have some amazing classes you can attend

With all concierge level and Suite customers can enjoy complimentary unlimited access to the private spa terrace.

I really can understand why I have so many guests go on Oceania time and time again. If you are looking for a 6 star cruise with fantastic prices then definitely I would highly recommend this ship to you!

Amazing was my first impression of Oceania’s Marina. Oceania say Your World, Your Way! This is truly the case. Beautiful mid-size range ship! Carries 1258 guests.

A very elegant but intimate ship! Four Excellent Speciality restaurants on board ( no cover charge) My favourite was Red Ginger (contemporary Asian Classics) I liked the freedom of the six restaurants on board where you are free to dine when, where and with whom you wish! Excellent Canyon Ranch Spa Club.

A very spacious design that affords expansive suites and staterooms, marble and granite bathrooms…Private verandas in 96%of the accommodations.

All accommodation was very impressive and featured the ultra luxury tranquillity bed. Veranda accommodation was a very impressive 242 square feet which had elegant furnishings.

Concierge Level gave additional amenities such as Exclusive access to private Concierge Lounge

Welcome bottle of champagne, Laptop computer with wireless internet access (charges apply) L’Occitane toiletries, 1000 thread count linens, Cashmere lap blankets for the Veranda and a complimentary logo tote bag.

Entertainment was low key but a good variety to cater for everyone! Soft drinks were included which was an added bonus. My view is this is affordable luxury
