Azura Reviews

My favourite ship with P&O. Shes very family friendly and has all the modern touches you would expect.

The Outdoor Cinema was amazing, all those stars twinkling down while watching the Movies. It did get a bit chilly but I guess that depends where you Cruise to?

There is plenty to do onboard I forgot I took my children some days. They were making use of the Sports court and Gym as well as trying every variety of food in the Buffet restaurant.

We even managed to see a wedding whilst onboard. We found out they had met on the Azura so seemed appropriate to get Married on it. Along with all the family entertainment it is very romantic too. Lots of little nooks and crannies to hide away in so the best of both worlds really.

I did spend a bit more than I thought but if you cant treat yourself to a nice designer handbag on a Cruise where can you?

Oh where to start, The Azura was absolutely beautiful and just the right one for us to enjoy our cruise to the Black Sea. I think that everyone really has to do this cruise. The places we went to were so fantastic; Yalta and Istanbul were definitely my favourites. When we went to Malta, we got a really big surprise, when we departed there was a big brass band right on the key side just for us. We tied freedom dining this time around and I must say this really worked for us, no strict timings was just perfect. All of the entertainment on board was of a really high standard and our cabin was great. Our cabin steward kept the place spotless for our whole cruise. The new style tipping was good too, no more messing about with silly amounts. Really straight-forward. I would give this cruise ship and the itinerary 10 out of 10, well done P&O.

I and a friend recently had a wonderful experience on-board the Azura. What a fantastic ship! It was lovely to stay on a ship where everything is all fairly new. The Atrium is a great focal point of the ship where you can find shops, art galleries and a lovely café. She has 4 fantastic pools and an excellent spa. We loved the spa treatments and the staff were all excellent! The food was amazing…we particularly liked The Glass House where you can sample the most wonderful seafood and steak! At nights the ship is alive with fabulous entertainment and we were never bored. Definitely a trip to repeat!

Me and my partner recently cruised on board Azura. We are food fanatics and found a little gem on board. Sindhu is, by far, the best Asian restaurant we have ever dined in! The gorgeous food of Atul Kocchar was out of this world and definitely worthy of his Michelin star! I was very impressed with the quality of food overall on board as this was my biggest reservation. However the quality of food and the service on board was a very pleasant surprise indeed! With such a high standard on board I am very keen to book again, if only for the mouth-watering Kulfi in Sindhu.

The Food on board was Fab!! We had the majority of the main meals at Dinner in the Cinammon Dining Room, The Service and Food were top class in this restaurant. Menu was very varied each evening, with decent portions and up to 5 courses for dinner. For Breakfast and Afternoon Tea we ate at the Waterside Self service restaurant, as was in a great location for the pool decks.

The Entertainment on board was very good, especially the Arena Shows. One specific highlight had to be Freddie Mercury and a great voice from Jayne Curry one of the singers on board the Ship.

We wanted to say a special Thank you to Cruise 118 for booking our Holiday, and also our Cabin attendant Michael who was faultless and help us with anything we needed.

The Ship overall was Fabulous there are 4 pools on board so wasn’t as over crowded as we always think it will be, plenty of sun beds and also various different activites that we enjoyed joining in on Sea days.

The Cabins I have to say are a very good size compared to other lines we have been on and there was an adequate amount of Tea and Coffee available and re stocked 2-3 times a day as required.

Overall we really enjoyed the Holiday and look forward to booking our next sailing in March 2013!!!

We decided to try a cruise for the first time and wanted to give P&O a try as had been told so many good reviews by family and friends. Once we arrived at Southampton, we were gobsmacked at the sheers size of it as it towered above us. We opted for an inside cabin as knew we wouldn’t be in it much. Kids were constantly in the kids clubs and really only time we saw them was for meal times which was great as gave my wife and I plenty of “us” time. Shows were brilliant and kids even enjoyed coming to them as well. Restaurant was really nice and always found plenty to eat although my daughter is extremely fussy – she was never stuck for choice. Overall a great time was had by us all and can highly recommend to families and couples alike.

We have cruised with P&O quite a few times but was looking forward to going on the Azura as I had heard good report on the Ventura which is very similar, We were only spending 3 nights on the ship so was keen to get on and have a good look around, Wow it was amazing so many different bars each with their own theme, I loved the ideal of the big screen outside which shows movies in the evening they provide blankets on the deck chairs, unfortunately being January and sailing from Southampton it was a little cold to do, The service was fantastic everyone was so friendly, We thought the food was better than any of the other cruises we have been on and we went into the Glasshouse and had tapas which was lovely, we spoke to many people who ate in the speciality Indian restaurant and they said it was fantastic, make sure you book when you get on as it was fully booked the 3 nights we were on board, Entertainment was brilliant lots of different places offering a good range including bands ,comedians, karaoke and just bars you can sit and chill out. I would definately look at booking to go on the Azura again.

We travelled on the P&O Azura in July last year. We found the embarkation very smooth and well organised. Good security measures yet quick and efficient. Cabin was spacious and roomy. Our attendant was very pleasant and did an excellent job. Made good use of the balcony, enjoying breakfast there. Entertainment was really good, always something different and we always thoroughly enjoyed it. the food was good and lots of choice. We had the anytime dining which was a first for us and we enjoyed it a lot more than the set times. The excursions were all reasonably priced an well worth the money. Seemed like children had plenty to do so not too overcrowded round the pool. Would definitely sail with P&O again.

We went on Azura recently in the Caribbean – weather was great, much better than the UK!!

We have sailed many times with Cunard and P&O and find them very good quality at a fair price. This cruise was no exception, we had a Superior Deluxe Cabin which was large (over 300sqft) and perfectly comfortable.

There was Champagne and Chocolates in our cabin when we arrived along with a fruit basket and flowers, very welcoming. A Bathrobe and slippers were also provided. The lounge area was comfy with settee and TV and in the bathroom was a full size bath which my wife really appreciated. The Molten Brown toiletries were good too!

When we cruise we like to do our own thing so didn’t really do any excursions. We did use the Spa on board though for a massage each and my wife had her hair done and a facial, all were very good.

We like our food on holiday, we did manage to get into Sindhu which is Atul Kochhars restaurant, well worth the cover charge for a special occasion! We tried most of the restaurants on board and they were all excellent so didn’t really need the 24 hour room service. We used this just once for breakfast after a late night!!

The shows in the Playhouse theatre were very good and professional and we did do some dancing whilst on board.

All in all we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and met some great people. We will return.

We have just returned from a 2 week new year cruise on the azure , we have cruised many times before and we lve cruising, and was really looking forward to this as we were celebrating my dads 70th birthday. The only words that describe this cruise is dreadful. The boat is old fashioned and every area of the boat was filthy and the staff made no efforts to clean up. The food had no selection it seemed to be either pork or steak every night. The staff were incredibly rude which I have never experienced before on a ship, normally they can't do enough for you. We also all were very sick and had to go and to see the ship doctor to great expense, who told us we had Niro virus which he said most of the staff were also suffering from. I don't think it's fair that my children or us have to spend so many days of our holiday in bed sick when we are a healthy family. I would. Ever recommend this boat we paid a lot of money for this cruise audit was a total waste of good money
