Instead of one large main dining room, Diamond Princess instead has five different venues serving the same evening menu. In some of these there are set mealtimes whereas other have open seating. Guests also have the option of dining in the Horizon buffet restaurant which serves a mouth-watering selection of dishes from around the world. Included in your cruise fare you’ll also find the Prego Pizzeria, the Trident Grill, La Patisserie and 24-hour room service.

For a small extra charge, guests may also choose from Sabatini’s, which serves authentic Italian fare, the Sterling Steakhouse and Kai Sushi. For a truly romantic experience, with Ultimate Balcony Dining you can enjoy a sumptuous multi-course meal in the privacy of your own balcony. The Chef’s Table Experience is also worth looking into.



Diamond Princess has an array of stateroom options to choose from, and each boasts an air of luxury. You can take your pick from interior staterooms, oceanview staterooms, balcony staterooms, mini suites and suites. Families of four can share a stateroom, whilst for larger groups you may opt for connecting staterooms or two-bedroom suites which sleep up to eight.

Club Fusion


The Princess Theatre is where you’ll find nightly Broadway-style shows. A host of other entertainment venues also feature live music, dancing, top comedians, magic shows and more. There’s a poolside amphitheatre showing ‘Movies Under the Stars’ each evening accompanied by popcorn and blankets. Skywalkers Nightclub and Club Fusion are the liveliest places on the ship. Grand Casino is ideal for those who love to gamble, but if you prefer to relax in a sophisticated setting then you can try Crooners Bar, the Wake View Bar, Churchill Lounge or the Wheelhouse Bar.

Neptunes Reef Pool


There are four freshwater swimming pools on-board Diamond Princess, plus eight hot tubs and plenty of sun loungers. You can take part in photography workshops or cooking demonstrations with the Discovery at Sea programme. The gym and fitness centre is fully equipped to offer a good workout, including a swim-against-the-current lap pool to put you through your paces. If you prefer golf then she has a nine-hole putting course and virtual golf simulators. The art gallery offers a whole world of paintings and drawings – which are also available for you to bid on at auction. Surf the web in the Internet Café or take a stroll around the duty-free boutiques – it’s all possible on this ship.

The Sanctuary offers a place of complete tranquillity, just for adults. In the Lotus Spa you’ll be able to indulge in a world of treatments including a youth enhancing facial, aroma stone therapy, cellulite reduction programme, muscle spa ocean wraps and acupuncture. Diamond Princess also features the largest Japanese bath at sea. The library is another great place to relax, with plenty of comfy sofas and up to 2,000 books to choose from.

There are plenty of things to do for the under 18s on this ship. The youth and teen centre is the place to be for all the youngsters and offers board games, video games, parties, arts and crafts, competitions, karaoke, football tables, sleepovers and much, much more. There are age-appropriate programmes from Princess Pelicans (ages 3-7), Shockwaves (ages 8-12) and Remix (ages 13-17) – all of which is completely supervised by fully trained youth staff.
