Adventure of the Seas Reviews

star rating

been on the Adventure of the seas a couple of times now, glad to see that she is still as spic and span as she was the first time we went. The kids love all the activities like the climbing wall and the ice rink. it keeps them quiet. I like the fact that the Promenade really is a promenade, loads of stuff, Not sure I should have had so many treats from Jonny Rockets though. We had been to Jonny Rockets before – in San Francisco down near the waterfront, but this was way better, same good burgers with the waterfront all around.

We have travelled on several of the main cruise lines but always go back to Royal Caribbean as we find they have the perfect balance for families travelling with children. There is plenty on board for children and the kids clubs are fantastic which allows us as little or as much time with them as we please. Great spa facilities for those times when you have managed to get rid of the kids. The food is always really tasty and there is a great variety so as not to get board on those longer sailings. Above all, the service is always on top form and staff are knowledgeable enough to answer all questions you might have.

FANTASTIC!!!

After Cruising a lot in the past few years with the Family, I decided to take my best Friend on 1 .. just the 2 of us and her first cruise .. It was Perfect!!

We thought we would treat our self and book in to one of the Superior Deluxe Balcony cabins the D1 Grade – We were situated on Deck 9 – great location cabins above and below so there was no noise. Plenty of room in the Cabin, We had 2 Single Beds that could convert into a Double suppose if I had brought my husband and there was also a Sofa which would have converted into a double bed if I had the twins with me, so the space was un real for the 2 of us!!

Each evening we sat out of the Balcony and enjoyed Champagne and Cocktails (It was a must with not having the Kids with me!!) and then later on we would go to the Main Restaurant where we dined most evening’s, my friend is a very fussy and basic eater so I was nervous that the Food would be too much for her, but she thought it was amazing and couldn’t get enough.

One evening we dined in Izumi the Asian speciality dining which was fabulous!! Definite recommendations to the Chef’s here!!!

During Breakfast and Lunch times we generally ate in the Buffett situated on Deck 11, and also treated our selves to Johnny Rockets some days and of course the Ice Cream Parlour!! J

During the daytime we mainly sun bathed, where there was adequate space for everyone, we didn’t have to worry about getting sun chairs and throughout the evenings we attended the main theatre productions every night!

On one of the Evening’s the Entertainment group had put on a Carnival sort of do down the Royal Promenade which was “Out Of This World!!”

It was great !!! They had the audience joining in, So American but So Good!!!

I cannot also forget to put a special mention out to Mariea, The lady who looked after our room, She was a STAR!! Anything we wanted or needed she would get, we couldn’t Thank her more on our homeward bound.

Overall I have to say we had a fabulous time!! The people we met, the food, the entertainment and the overall standard and service on board has been far superior to any other cruise line I have travelled with in the past!!

I must say I will be speaking to the husband and booking one for the Family for Summer 2013!! Well Worth Booking Royal !!

I have quite a big and busy family with having 4 young children to keep entertained so as you can imagine a holiday can be quite stressful to arrange but that as now all changed since we went on the Royal Caribbean Adventure of seas last summer. It was absolutely amazing and with the cruise ship leaving from the UK it made the holiday completely stress free as it was so much easier to handle. The ship itself was amazing and the kids loved it. There was so much for them to do on board during and day and during the night that it gave me and my husband some time to spend together and relax. I even got some time to spend completely by myself as my husband loved the rock climbing with the kids that much I couldn’t get him off it. The food was really good and the service on board was great as there was always someone around. We had a 2 bedroom suite which managed to fit us all in which was really good and we still had a lot of space which I definitely appreciated. It was brilliant value for money for everything that is included and we have already booked to go again on the same ship next summer and I can’t wait.

The Adventure of the Seas was great for our family holiday. We immediately found a hot spot for the kids; Johnny Rockets! They loved it. And we were very impressed because the food was excellent quality so we could happy let them enjoy as much as they could eat. The kids were entertained all day too which was perfect for us. They couldn’t get enough of the mini golf course. I lost count of how many times we went round the course. We were able to get our own peace and quiet too every now and then which let us re-charge our batteries when the kids were let loose in the Adventure Ocean Youth Programme (which is fantastic!). There was a sun deck and an adults only area where it was just utter tranquillity, a million miles apart from the bustling activities lower down. You would never think that there was a parade of Dreamworks characters prancing around a few decks below! We found the best of both worlds on this ship; a lively atmosphere perfect for children, all day and night if wanted, and complete peace and relaxation for the adults. The ship itself is stunning. The spectacular multi story dining room is magnificent and offers itself as a beautiful backdrop to our evening meals.

Wow, just come back from Adventure of the Seas. Had a fantastic time and cant wait to go on my next Cruise already.

The Promenade was my favourite area onboard, great for relaxing, people watching, eating, drinking even shopping. You sometimes forget you are on a ship until you go outside. I had a lovely family Oceanview cabin right at the front of the ship on deck 6. We had 2 huge Portholes with the most amazing views. Definitely worth recommending for families.

My kids made some great friends and had a fantastic experience, it really opens your eyes to see them having such fun and making the most of all the facilities. It even gave me and my wife some nice time alone without worrying about what they were doing. The staff onboard felt like family by the end of the Cruise.

It was sometimes a shame to go ashore in the daytime as you knew what you were missing onboard. Its nothing like a “floating Hotel” more like a 5* luxury resort!

I have recently returned from a cruise onboard Adventure of the Seas with Royal Caribbean, it was absolutely great. The travelling to the ship in Malaga was very easy and quick, and the assistance at the port was great. When we got onboard our holiday began, the facilities were endless and the service was excellent from all staff onboard. We had a balcony cabin which was very spacious and relaxing in the sun in the afternoon was great on it. The food in all venues was great and we especially enjoyed the Windjammer, buffet style, informal and no set times. The entertainment was brilliant throughout the day and the evenings entertainment was even better. We loved all the shows in the theatre, Mr & Mrs was the best and funniest. I will definitely cruise with them again.

I went on the Adventure of the Seas recently and was amazed at how friendly and efficient the staff are. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and I cant think of a better way we could of celebrated it! The food was out of this world! We spent our days relaxing in the spa, browsing in the shops in the fantastic royal promenade and my husband even tried a spot of rock climbing. We loved the Casino Royale at night and the shows were of West End quality, superb! We will definitely be doing another Royal Caribbean cruise again this year!

I went on this ship in May last year. My First cruise. I was not sure what to expect.

This was with friends not family and just for a break as I though cheap get away no washing up and a bit of luxury. Well I didn’t know what I was letting myself in for. 3 cruises later and its still up there with the my best holidays never mind cruises that I have experienced.

I am mid 30’s and can tell you that this ship has everything, food, drink, places to meet and get chatting to new friends. There are so many talking points, that fact your at sea, the place your about to visit, the Casino win you just had and the shows or comedian in the evening.

After the show you can hit the night club or if your daring a late night Jacuzzi, maybe both.

But you know whatever you do on this ship the following day will give you as many surprises and happy memories as your last.

You will become a cruise addict after you have been on this ship.

I have just got home from a cruise with Royal Caribbean on the Adventure of the Seas. It was the best holiday I have ever been on… the cabin was nice and the bedding was clean and fresh and the staff could not do enough for us. I liked the shows and the food was lovely and plentiful it was the best of all the holidays I have ever been on rolled in to one… cant wait to go again we are already planning for later this year.

When I arrived at Malaga Cruise port and saw the sheer amount of passengers checking in (a lot of them Spanish), I thought I would be at check-in forever however the check-in staff were very efficient and got people moving as quickly as possible. Ship size overwhelmed me as I had been on quite a few different ships however none as large as this one.

Once onboard we went straight to our inside cabin, which was allocated on deck 8 in a forward position. From here we went to Café Promenade where we enjoyed slices of pizza, cake, teas and coffees. On embarkation day it was extremely busy in this café however the staff were on the ball and were cleaning up leftover plates, cups and glasses.

We decided to have a wander around the ship and try to get our bearings before dinner. Although the ship was large with over 3000 passengers, on deck there is plenty of space to move and it certainly didn’t feel as if there was that amount of people onboard.

After the sailaway party, it was time for dinner. As there was a large party of us all travelling together, we are all seated together at the restaurant over 3 tables which were close to each other. I loved the fact that although they had a different menu every night, they still had options which remained the same every night (ie chicken, steak etc) which did give you an option if nothing else was tempting for you on the main menu.

The activities onboard include ice-skating (shows are definitely worth going to watch), rock climbing wall, in-line skating, basketball courts etc etc. The shows in the theatre were of exceptional standard and I attended every evening. The street party in the Royal Promenade area was thoroughly enjoyable also although did get very busy. They do have parades up and down the promenade also which is definitely worth watching.

I bought the soft drinks package which was very good value for money as always had a soft drink in my hand which could be used in all restaurants including Johnny Rockets. I more than used what I actually paid for the package.

We tried a whole host of different restaurants onboard which were all very good value for money even the speciality restaurants. Windjammer had everything you could ever actually look for and need.

Staff were always very neat and tidy to go along with their warm friendly personalities. I was always greeted with a smile.

Would definitely go back onboard Royal Caribbean and the brand is my favourite out of all the cruise lines I have been on.

been on the Adventure of the seas a couple of times now, glad to see that she is still as spic and span as she was the first time we went.
