Holland America has always boasted an incredible line-up of spectacular entertainment aboard their feature-packed cruise vessels – but did you know that guests can now step into the entertainment, as part of the line’s marvellous Dancing with the Stars experience – based on the hit US reality television competition.
On select cruises, guest will have the chance to get involved with free dance classes on-board and learn some basic moves or more complex steps, based on the dance routines from the celebrated television show.
Guests will also be invited to compete in an amazing Dancing with the Stars: At Sea competition in which – after the first stages of the tournament – finalists will get chance to perform their routines on the ship’s main stage with a professional dance partner. Each cruise will see one light-footed passenger crowned as Cruise Champion and invited back to embark on a free seven night Cruise Champion’s voyage to the Caribbean, where 15 participants will compete for the title of Dancing with the Stars: At Sea Grand Champion and win the sought-after mirror ball trophy.
Some of these select cruises will also welcome on-board famous faces from Dancing with the Stars, and guests will get the opportunity to take photographs, get autographs and participate in question and answer sessions with their favourite celebrities. Dance professionals and special guest celebrities due to appeared on-board Holland America’s ships in 2014 include Sabrina Bryan, Tristan MacManus, Carson Kressley and Kym Johnson, each bringing with them a touch of glitz and glamour, guaranteed to delight and entertain guests.
Dancing with the Stars: At Sea will take place aboard a number of cruises in 2014 aboard the magnificent MS Westerdam, with the Champion’s Cruise sailing on the 6th December.
