It’s just been announced that the third Oasis class ship in Royal Caribbean’s ever-expanding fleet, Harmony of the Seas, will make her debut in April 2016, when she is set to be the largest cruise ship afloat, catering to 5,479 passengers and weighing in at 227,000 tons.
Harmony of the Seas will boast some truly incredible and innovative features, including an exciting first for the line, a waterslide – well three to be exact – as that’s how many the ship will boast in spectacular style as they wind their way in a multi-story manner across the ship’s leafy Central Park area below. As well as the slides, the ship will offer Oasis Class innovations like the incredible Bionic Bar, complete with robotic bartenders and will also feature Royal’s popular ‘neighbourhoods’ design, consisting of seven different areas, each offering something different for cruisers.
It’s not just the public areas which are set to be expansive, either, as the ship will boast larger stateroom categories and a range of exclusive areas for suite guests. The innovations extend to passengers too, with state-of-the-art RFID luggage-tracking technology as well as WOWBands, which allow passengers easy access to their staterooms as well as the ability to make simple on-board purchases.
Gourmands will love the fact that there will be a number of speciality restaurants including the Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine and Mexican favourite Sabor, as well as Dynamic Dining, which will offer an incredible choice of international cuisine to passengers.
Itineraries for Harmony of the Seas are yet to be announced but as soon as they are, we’ll be sharing them with you on our website. If you can’t wait until 2016, we have an excellent choice of Royal Caribbean sailings available, including cruises on Harmony’s incredible sister ships Oasis and Allure of the Seas.
