Why reviews are so important

Cruise Reviews

At Cruise118, we understand that sometimes before you book a holiday, you want to get an idea of what people who’ve been on-board before have thought. Reviews are a big part of modern life – the internet has made this information so much more accessible so within a few minutes you can find out all manner of opinions. It’s not just holidays – for a lot of people it’s rare to buy anything these days without first checking the thoughts of other people, from PCs to potato peelers. It’s not just the realm of media now where everyone is throwing in their two cents.

It especially applies to cruise holidays because cruise lines and ships are all so different, in terms of the features on-board, the food and the general atmosphere. And that’s the reason we host a whole wealth of reviews on the website – so that you can easily get an understanding of what a ship is really like before you commit to a holiday.

The reviews aren’t the only source of advice we give – that’s why we’ve got pages of information telling you as much as possible about the ships, and it’s also another reason why we write these blogs. We not only give you an insight into how we work, but also our favourite cruise lines, and what really strikes a chord with us.

But we know that sometimes, a review helps you to understand the perspective of a passenger. As much as we can tell you about the restaurants, there’s nothing as good as reading the reaction of someone when they’re served their main course, or when they first see the various options of the buffet. We can describe a room, but a previous passenger can share their emotions when they first saw it, or how well they really slept, or whether they heard noises from other rooms.

So take a look at the cruise lines and cruise ship pages on the website and head over to the reviews tab for each. You’ll find plenty of great views and opinions which make for truly interesting reading.

And of course, if you’re reading this page then there’s a good chance you’ve sailed on a cruise before. If you booked with us we’d love to get your review and put it on our website for all to see. Just email [email protected] so we can get it uploaded.
