Seabourn Sojourn Reviews

I am a disabled traveller so it is tricky to get accommodation. We recently booked an adapted suite (V5 grade 619) on-board the Seabourn Sojourn. The cruise was excellent and the accommodation met all of my needs and was a good size for the wheelchair and had a large wet room that was very luxurious compared to many other ships we have been on. The assistance at the airports and in boarding was also excellent and the crew were all very caring and helpful. The ship was easy to get around for us and if we needed assistance it was always on hand. The food was terrific and the overall standards exceptional. Overall a great experience which is not easy for us to find, we would not hesitate to use Seabourn again and will recommend to friends.

Amazing, Awesome, Out of this world….just a few of my impressions from my Cruise.

It was fantastic not having to Queue. I didn’t think I minded being on the large ships but once you’ve had a taster for 6* Luxury you can get used to it!!

The staff were fantastic, the food was probably the nicest I’ve ever tasted (don’t tell the wife) and my Suite was heaven. Teak Veranda furniture, Egyptian cotton towels marble bathroom I could go on and on.

My favourite area onboard was the Collonade Restaurant. You saw the chefs preparing your meal in the open kitchen. I know how they feel on Hells Kitchen now!!

If you like the finer things in life and don’t mind paying a little bit extra its well worth it. Treat yourself.

You don’t even have to lift a finger, this sprung to mind on this holiday. I really don’t believe I have ever experienced anything like it on this trip. From entering the Yacht, we were greeted by people who took our belongings and carried them through to our suite, we were offered a choice of pillows, duvets, soaps and then someone knocked and had a glass of champagne and some canapés for us to eat while we looked around what was to be our home for the next week.

No expense has been spared in building this Yacht. It is very tastefully and luxuriously decorated and everything just flows. All the staff greet you with a smile, they get to know you and after not too long you really begin to feel at home. The pool and spa area and great and the fact that it only carries a small amount of people we got to meet some very interesting people.

Food was 6 star all the way and the restaurant was beautiful. The choice of wines with the meal were fantastic and it was nice to know this was all included in the price. The great thing about this holiday was it really did feel like you could really relax. You could go and find somewhere just to relax, read a book and not feel like you had to get involved in anything.

Would I book Seabourn again, certainly, it was probably one of the most enjoyable holidays I have experienced and I would recommend them to anyone who wishes to travel having the best service, food and holiday experience possible.

We had planned a trip to South America for a long time for our 30th wedding anniversary but could not decide between a tour that was largely land based or a cruise, after careful planning and speaking to our very helpful agent Richard at six star cruises we decided on the latter and booked a cruise on-board the Seabourn Sojourn, we are very glad we did!! The trip was excellent from start to finish and my wife and I had a brilliant time. Firstly we both worked in teaching and have a large family with grandchildren who we adore however we wanted a break so having few children was a must, the Sojourn really did fir the bill and the peace and quiet on deck was very much enjoyed. The suite with veranda was lovely we had suite 611 which was ideal for us. The balcony had a glass front but we did speak to other passengers who were on deck 5 and their balcony had a metal front which was not as nice to sit out on, Richard advised us of this when we booked and said it was worth the extra, he was quite right by all accounts. The suite was utter luxury and very spacious which on a 2 week cruise is nice. The service was first class right down to having our requested drinks in our suite on arrival as arranged by Richard (we didn’t think this would actually happen). The food was also superb and we had no complaints at all (and my wife is a fussy eater). It was great to be able to dine when we decided and not have to clock watch or worry about queues for dinner. Seabourn really are all inclusive and the drink quality was excellent with an array of branded high quality drinks to choose from and no bill at the end, it was also good to see people did not abuse this. We ended out trip in Buenos Aires and Richard organised for us to do a short 3 night tour to the Iguazu falls and as this is somewhere my wife had always wanted to visit, I was a little apprehensive as I thought after a long cruise we would just want to get home. I am glad my wife won as it was super and well worth visiting, the tour we did was extremely well organised. My only gripe would be we only had 1 night pre cruise in Santiago, after speaking with other passengers it may have been nice to have 2 or 3 as it is a lovely city and the extra day or two at the start really help with the jet lag especially after flying via Madrid, this is a small point though and we soon got over it. Overall a brilliant trip and well worth paying for a cruise of this standard, the service and accommodation is a good as anything we had ever done before and we are truly pleased we selected the cruise option and did not have to live out of a suitcase for the whole trip. The Chilean fjords are sensational and this really was the trip of a lifetime with great memories and new friends.
