Royal Caribbean’s class of suites are collated with upgraded designs, special perks and unforgettable experiences. Amenities can include the smallest of details, but that’s what makes the difference. On-board newer ships, the suites are categorised into classes: Star Class, Sky Class and Sea Class. Each of these offer varying tiers of benefits, with the Star Class being the best of the best. It’s also worth noting that not all of these suites are on-board every ship, and they can vary by ship in size, layout and decor. Junior Suite

Available: Fleetwide

Found on-board most Royal Caribbean ships, the Junior Suite is a great ‘starter suite’. It is the cheapest option, but also the smallest, making it a good choice for couples or families wanting to splurge a little. The suite is still an intimate option with a great view and sleeping arrangements up to four guests. There are two twin beds (which can be converted to a Royal King), a double sofa bed in staterooms for up to four guests and then a Pullman bed for staterooms with up to 3 guests.

Junior Suite

Available: Fleetwide (except for Empress of the Seas)

With an larger space than the Junior, the Grand Suite offers two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living area with a sofa bed. The suite can fit up to eight guests and includes a large balcony to share with your family. It’s a good choice for those looking for a more sociable space as the sitting area includes a couch, coffee table and a bar area.

Owner’s Suite

Available: Fleetwide (except Independence of the Seas)

Similar to the Grand Suites, the Owner’s Suites are larger and offer more luxurious amenities such as a whirlpool tub and a small dining table. The suite sleeps up to five guests with two twin beds which convert to a Royal King bed and a double sofa bed. One of the main attractions is the bathrooms which are upsale and spacious. They feature the tub alongside a separate shower, double vanity, toilet and bidet.

Available: Empress, Sovereign, Vision, Voyager, Radiance and Freedom Class ships

Compared to the previous three suites, the Royal Suite isn’t as widely featured and only on-board 18 of the ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet. Feeling more like a luxury apartment than a cabin there are impressive archways, baby grand pianos, bar areas and full-sized living areas with multiple couches. The Royal Suite can sleep up to four guests, with a king bed and a double sofa bed.

Panoramic Suites

Taking in the views from your own private space is a perfect way to relax while sailing, and the Panoramic Suites are an ideal option for this. Varying from the Ocean View to the Ultimate, here’s the options you can choose on-board Royal Caribbean.

Ocean View Panoramic Suite

Available: Voyager and Freedom Class ships

Featuring wraparound, panoramic windows for you and your family to relax, this suite is ideal for spend time enjoying the view. For the Ocean View grade specifically, the room comprises two twin beds which convert into a Royal King; a double sofa bed; and two bunk beds. The suite can sleep up to six guests.

A step-up from the Ocean View, the Grand Panoramic offers more space alongside floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows for incredible sights. The suite can sleep up to four guests with a king size bed and a double sofa bed. There’s even a balcony so you can breathe in the views as they pass from your own private outdoor space.

Currently only available on-board Oasis of the Seas, Owner’s Panoramic Suites offer floor-to-ceiling windows. Similar to the Grand Panoramic Suite, this suite sleeps up to four guests but is much larger – averaging just over 1,000 square feet.

A brand new suite type back in 2019, the Ultimate Panoramic Suite offers plenty of sweeping aspace and 200-degree views from your floor-to-ceiling windows. Other features include a walk-in closet, upgraded bathroom and sleeps up to four guests.

Loft Suites

Loft Suites can be found on-board Quantum and Oasis Class ships, featuring beautiful, light-filled spaces set across two decks with plenty of room for family and friends. Another two-floor suite, the Royal Loft Suite fits up to six guests to enjoy the incredible suite together. With a king size bed, two twin beds (or Royal King bed) and a double sofa bed, the Royal Loft Suite is the largest loft suite in the Royal Caribbean fleet. It’s the most opulent with features including enormous bathrooms, walk-in closets, piano and a private library!

AquaTheater Suites

Only available on the Oasis Class ships the AquaTheater Suites offer up to eight guests a large space to unwind. Their key feature, and the reason they are named ‘AquaTheater Suites’, is that they boasts a huge wraparound balcony with views to the AquaTheater and surroundings.

While some suites above offer interconnecting rooms or plenty of space to share amongst your fellow passengers, there are also suites designed to be the ideal accommodation for you and your family.

Villa Suite

Available: Liberty of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas)

Also known as Presidential Family Suites, Villa Suites are the incredible 1,200 square foot accommodations for you and your family. With four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a grand living area and an entertainment centre, the suite also boasts a large balcony, whirlpool tub and outdoor living area to completely relax while on-board.

Ultimate Family Suite - Royal Caribbean

Available: Symphony of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas

Exactly as described, this suite is the ultimate must for families wanting fun memories! Jam-packed with a huge TV, air-hockey table, LEGO wall, hot tub and even a slide that connects the upper level with the ground it’s the perfect place to hang out and enjoy each others company while cruising. There’s only two bedrooms, one for the parents and one for kids which sleeps four. There is also a sofa bed in the living room which sleeps two, so the total number to stay in this suite is up to eight.
